View Full Version : Im back ! And need help !
Im back from my surgery and came home to a scary suprise . As some of you know my snake was attacked by its prey so here are some pics of her with the wounds my friends son took em so dont get mad :)
I also found out that she had a stuck shed and i believe i got most of it off but can you guys tell me a way to be caertain that i did ?
She is also missing a few scales on her boday but they didnt show in the pics, they are brown undernath like her head

Man thats rough, poor snake. It looks like he's taking it all in stride though.
Heres some before pics . I have been cleaning the wound every day since it happened with anti -bacterial soap and water . She showed some signs of inprovement and snakes are incredible healers.

although it is bad, it could be much worse, looks like she'll come out just fine. I don't really like the sound of a/b soap and I would probably use some non pain relief neosporin as a few others said in the other thread.
What about making a bath with a few drops of white vinegar in it?

i use an iodine soulution to keep wounds clean,over here theres a product called tamodine.
keep the wound clean and check it regular
it should heal leaving a small car which,may get better looking after a few sheds
i wouldn't beat yourself up about it,as imo accidents happen to the best of us
i hope it heals according to plan mate

iodine IMO is the best for things like what you are dealing with... hope he heals up nice for you.
