This is why you don't feed live mice.
I dont know I'd soap was the best idea...

I can't really help you with this problem however if this ever occurs again (only thing they have is live) snakes can go awhile without eating so I would've skipped the feeding this time.
Im just worried that it might die.....

I don't think it will, however you should take it to an exotic vet.

I have always used neosporin for cuts and scrapes on my snakes and when I had my water dragon. Just keep the wound clean and try to keep it from getting infected, just like if you had a cut. And don't beat yourself up over this, things happen. Just learn from this experience. There is always a risk when you feed live prey to a snake. Just keep the wound clean and if you have him on aspen or eco earth or something, maybe switch him to paper or paper towels so no bedding gets into his wound.

This....
Make sure it is PLAIN neosporin, not the kind with pain relief in it.
apply to wounds to ward off infections.
Snakes are amazing healers, have seen them in the wild that have recovered from gruesome lawn mower hits.

Found a garter a few weeks ago that must've been attacked by something, cuts all over it. Anyways yesterday I found it and it was totally healed apart from the scars.

Personally id take it to a vet, but either way good luck. Everyone makes mistakes.... i just hope all the people who come on here preaching that live feeding is safe and right get to see this.

Scary feeling isn't it! Sasha’s previous owner only fed Sasha live. So when I got her, she refused anything if it was f/t. Sasha was bitten once and that was the end of that. She eats ONLY f/t now because I don’t want my baby to get hurt.
Go to the drug store and buy Betadine. Do not buy generic, buy name brand, which is “Betadine.” Mix it with water, the coloring of the water should be equivalent to weak tea. Bathe the snake in the solution. If you aren’t comfortable doing that, get cotton balls and soak them and dab the wounds with it.
Read the ingredients it should read only:
Active ingredient
Povidone-iodine, 10%
(1% available iodine) First aid antiseptic
Inactive ingredients
Pareth 25-9
Purified water
Sodium hydroxide
Also buy antibiotic ointment. Read the ingredients, it must NOT have pain relief. Normal ingredients are:
Active ingredients (in each gram)
Bacitracon 400 units First aid antibiotic
Neomycin 3.5 mg First aid antibiotic
Polymyxin B 5,000 units First aid antibiotic
Inactive ingredients
Light mineral oil
White pertrolatum
Then take her to a vet to make sure no internal organs were injured.
**I am not a vet, however these instructions are used by zoo vets and garnered directly from Exotic Herp Vets in administering First Aid and prevention of scale rot in reptiles.
