Here are some pics from me taking some of my carpets outside. Never done the outside thing before but they were pretty cool about it. Only one snake was determined to be difficult and wouldn't sit still. The sun washed out yellows but they still came out good. I was just toying around with my camera and different angles and whatnot. Enjoy!

Nice shots! I love natural light. Outside is the jest place for pictures, it brings out the Cole better, helps the shutter speed, everything.
I don't know why yours got washed out... Unless you were on the wrong side of the sun, maybe switch to an outdoor WB? (white balance) try taking it off Auto and messing with the WB.
Turn the flash off too...
I took my calmest snake out the other day and it helped the color... I always open a window and let the sun hit wherever I'm shooting. It's just better.
Again, awesome shots.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I'm still learning all the different settings on my camera. I just recently figured out that the macro setting is what you use for close up shots haha. It was so bright outside that when I took the first pic of the jag, I just put the camera on the ground and took the picture. I couldn't see anything, but now I really like the angle where you're on the ground level with them as you can see. Thanks again everyone and I'll be sure to post more.
