Continuing our “new arrivals” profiles, next up is a second new, as-yet-unnamed, adult male. He’s an interesting specimen, who actually looks rather average in indoor light, but takes on a pleasant orange glow when viewed outside. He came to us in early August. His age is estimated at eight years (and that looks about right from his head).
Here he is as of his early August arrival at Living Gems:

Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with him. Brian, every year I scour the top breeders for babies, and also keep an ear/ear out for those few stellar adults that might become the rare exception to our "buy babies" rule. This year I looked especially hard, as with Hills' loss I needed an orange backup. He fits well!

Sorry for the potential hijack, but I've been interested in calico brbs for a while but have yet to find a seller. I understand that with calicos they look like normals till they reach maturity then they color up and I'm fine with that.
Any idea who sells them, and what the going price of babies/adults is?

Stephan, calicos are as yet unproven with Brazilians. I know of only one vendor with a publicly annnounced snake, and he did not breed the animal last year or this year so far as I know.
Thanks Shaun! He is a very, very mellow snake.

Wow!!! Looks like he has the large circle design on his back which is my fav cause it causes that star like pattern along the sides. He is gorgeous!!!

Awww thanks Sappyr! I like that one too, and am pleased with how he is adapting to his new home. His color has picked up another notch -- a freiend who dropped by last night to see the new babies was commenting on that -- and he's eating well, too. Good stuff!
