How soon to feed a new snake?

What do you guys think is a good waiting time before feeding a brand new snake? I was told 5-7 days. But the other week my brand new Columbian rainbow boa ate the first day i got him? I just got my brand new GTP and he seems a little hungry/skinny. What do yall think?

I have offered food to all of my new snakes within the first couple days, and they all eat without fail. Just leave them alone except water changes afterwards for about a week. Good luck.

As long as they are all set up in the proper viv/tub I offer food day 1 then I leave them alone for a full week. Some people leave them alone for a week then feed. Its really up to you. I think offering food on day 1 or 2 and giving the snake a full tummy will help it settle into its new home.

We did the same with ours we set up the viv and let it get comfy then we fed at night so now we feed weekly at night

Had snakes eating 30 minutes after fed ex dropped off the box before.. if they eat, feed 'em!;)

I've also fed the day I've gotten animals. Just like everyone else said, if they'll eat then feed them, if not then give them a few days to settle in. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think with GTPs you want to make sure their environment is perfect before you feed. You can try to feed him just try to not stress him out with it if he doesn't take the food right away.

I agree with everyone. I've fed snake the day I got them. It's really up to the snake.

I should also mention that when we brought mine home and we tried to feed it the same day it was a no go
