So as most of you already know, I am getting my second corn on friday. I have done all I can to set up for her and now (other than a few small details) all I can do is wait for friday eve to come.

The lady who owns the snake now must feel the same (I know she's in a hurry as she is moving) she keeps calling/e-mailing every few days to see when I can pick her up (I think she getting so crazy with the move that she's forgetting details!!)

Nothing I can do about it though, she wants $$ for her snake and payday is on friday. Just finished with a family get together and sending our son off on vacation with his gramma, this left us with NO expendable income until payday. Hopefully she will remember this time!! LOL

So this baby is 2 yrs old, an Okeetee, and by all accounts a girl!! She is aprox 2' long. But since I don't know the thickness of her, I don't know what to feed her.

I HAVE mouse pinks, rabbit pinks, and rat juvi's. I THINK the mouse pinks will be too small and everything else I have will be too big. So I think I'll see if can I bring her to the breeder I bought Khuno off of, show her the female and buy whatever she says is the right size for this love!!

2 foot sounds small for a 2year corn... but im judging that off personal experience so far. Small mice should be ok, or hoppers if shes abit too thin.

Yes, I have had a couple people tell me the age:length ratio is off. That she seems too small for her age. Problem is, until tomorrow night, i am going by what the lady tells me about size, ect.

I have asked a couple times what she is eating and all I get is F/T rodents!! I know she busy with the move and I know I get single-minded when I have to move, so I am trying to be understanding and not be too pushy!

I have an appt with Khuno's breeder so she can take a look at my new snake and provide me with the right sized prey for her.

When I get her home I plan on taking her measurements (no scale unless I can find a cheap one tomorrow) and a coiuple pics before she goes into her new viv, that way I can just leave her alone for a while but still post pics for all of you!!

yes, thank you. She is home and MOSTLY set up. The viv she came with had a basking light but no UHT or heat rock or any type of belly heat, and it is not really clean, so she is in a tub for the night as we set everything up for her.

We bought an UTH on our way home and she is enjoying some belly heat as we speak! My appt with the breeder to figure out food size is tomorrow, so I do have to bother her again then and will get pics for you guys and post tomorrow.

The food the lady had was way too big for her, at least twice as big as the thickest part of her (if not more). But she seems healthy and she is definately a striking snake!!

Thanks for asking and tune in tomorrow for pics of our new Okeetee girl!!

Thanks!! :)

So I just got back from the breeder, she gave me a 6 week supply of the right sized food (WAAAAYYYYY smaller than what was sent home with me) And probed her for me to confirm that yes she is female!! So Ananta is her name (would have changed it if she were really a he)!!

apparently she JUST finished shedding, she is spectacular, Khuno's breeder said if she was selling this snake, it would be priced at least $125. (not that I care as she stays WITH ME!!) but she did say that although she is "a tiny bit small for her age" she is a spectacular example of an Okeetee.
