I have an "office" where my computer is located. Also in my office are my Albino Burm, and My Boa and also two of my corns. When I got up this morning and went to turn on the computer, my monitor and my desk lamp had been knocked over. My desk was in disarray. I could not immediately tell what had happened. I checked the snake cages right away and all doors were shut and latched. Or so I thought. When I looked in the closet, curled up sleeping on top of a storage container lay my 6' 4" burm. It turns out that 1 latch on the corner of his door had not been completely latched allowing him enough room to slide through and wreck havoc. I picked him up an told him he had made a mess, he looked at me and gave a half hearted hiss before crawling back into his cage. Good thing I always keep the door to the room shut.

Glad to hear he didn't do to much damage. Also glad to her you found him safe and sound no problem. Most snakes are like rats if they can get their head threw something. They can get there whole body threw.

That's why I keep the door to the room closed at all times. He's been testing his cage for the past couple of months. I would be just sick if he got out and I couldn't find him. He's getting a bit big to hide now, but he's one of my two big babies. I should have a bigger cage ready for him soon though.

:crazy2: Luckily he can't hold a can of spray paint. He might have tagged the room. Ghost wuz here. It was funny, because all I had to do was follow his trail of destruction to see where he ended up. Like he was tired out from knocking things over.

I had a similar thing happen to me years ago when a 6' boa found a weak spot in his enclosure and got out. He proceeded to knock over smaller enclosure, freeing little snakes. Like you the snake room door was shut, so no one escaped the room. Came home and found them all. Fixed the weak spot and return him to his enclosure. What a trail of destruction he had made.
