I thought heterozygos ment not displaying a trait but genetically carrying as opposed to homozygos (sp)? I say this in regard to your comment about your het pied BP.

Cool videos and beautiful snakes. Are you going to be at the NARBC show at Tinley Park Oct. 8 and 9? My buddy Shawn been taking about maybe getting another King Snake. If you are we'll be sure to stop by.

You are partially correct. Although in some situations, Piebald being one of them, There are certain characteristics that "some" hets possess that you can look for.

Just one question from the vid, please dont think it is criticism as its not intended like that, when you handle the snakes without the cameras there do you normally wash your hands between animals?

I have always been told that it is best to do so in case of any cross contamination.

Not really sure. I do know he be talking about how he like the looks of Brooks Kings. I was going to call him but he working a double today and the next couple days. When i see him i'll ask.

I generally do not wash my hands between animals, Unless of course my hands get dirty from poop etc. then of course my hands get washed then I use hand sanitizer. Im a bit of a weird-o when it comes to my hands having stuff on them, same with my feet. But I dont usually get snake poo on my feet :). Watch now, somehow I will manage it. lol
