Hey guys, I went to the National Reptile Breeder's Expo this past weekend in Daytona and thought I'd share the couple of pics I took. I was in a hurry so they didn't come out great but you still get the idea. Just a few of the animals that caught my eye. Anyway, here's a couple of pics. Enjoy.

She was a nine year old female and they wanted 3500 for her if I remember right. She was very bright in person.

That caramel pied is........(no words to describe) I can only see a tiny patch of white on the tip of the tail. From what I can tell in pieds, the more white, the more expensive. Imagine how much THAT snake would cost, were it a "high white pied"!!!!!

I couldn't stop looking at the caramel pied. That snake had a crowd around it the whole show. My sister said she would have bought the retics if I was in the bathroom or not with her. Then I told her what they were and she was happy she didn't get them.

They do get big but they are greatly misunderstood animals.
They are much too big for most people to correctly handle, but for these people there is always the super dwarf version, dwarves can still pass 16 feet so these are also too big for most people.
They can be pretty tame if treated correctly.

Yea I know all of that but she's about to have a baby so the retic in the house wouldn't fly at all. I think you have to have a ROC permit to have the large constrictors here in FL if I'm not mistaken. Which sucks because as far as beauty goes, retics are one of the if not prettiest snakes out there. And now with these morphs that are out there, I wouldn't be surprised if super dwarf retics become extremely popular as more mutations are crossed into them.
