View Full Version : Spider Identification
Can anyone identify this spider, I've never seen one like this, but then again I don't go out of my way to look at spiders because they creep the crap out of me. I live in Southern Ontario but this was found in a restaurant, and I assume they receive international fruit.
The picture is about actual size it was HUGE 1-2 inch long body 2 front legs were soooo long

Duno offhand, look in the recent posts I started, I have one about insects, it has most of the worlds insects and arachs on it.
Arachnoboards is also a good place to ask.

It kind of reminds me of the spider that was found at my local wal mart and that was a Brazilian Wandering spider found in a bunch of bananas.

I thought the wandering spiders were quite small and brown? But ive never heard of the brazilians so im just asking out of interest.
Well I put him in a paper cup, then brought it to the basement I went to check and the spider is not in the cup. As much as I hate spiders, I still don't like to squash them.

this spider kills the most people per year than any other and there venom has more toxins per millilitre than the black widow and more aggressive than the funnel web spider but the worse thing is that there is no none anti-venin that works with the bite of the b.wandering spider (thats according to discovery channel so please excuse me if theres anything wrong with the facts)
