Hello ... This looks like a great place to get helpful info.
I just got my first Australian Jungle Carpet Python 2 days ago. He/She ( they couldn't tell me the sex or exact age except it is under 6 months old ) is very docile, and surprisingly calm. We called him Bumblebee as his black and yellow colours were what attracted me to him. He loves to be held, and had his first feed today with no problems :) He has yet to strike or nip at us.

WElcoem - jsut a thought - as he is new to your house he should really have some settling in time, 7 days is the norm, also just in case you arent aware, after feeding he needs total solitude for 48 hours to allow the meal to digest or he may regurgitate his food.
Very pretty JCP tho

TY :)
Any info is greatly appreciated. I have been reading info online but everyone has different opinions, so it gets a bit confusing for me. My fiance is the real snake person, but at the moment he is in the UK. So I have started out slowly with one.

Hello and welcome. I love the face on your little JCP. It looks to be coloring up nicely for you too...they usually get better with age.

Thanks for the warm welcome in here :) Bumblebee so far ( even thou its only been a few days) has been very docile, not one bit nippy and loves to be out and held. I was surprised.

Lol... its cool bumblebee us handling well, but its advised to give a settling in period. So your new snake can feel safe in its new surroundings..

Welcome. I'm new member here too and have learned a good deal about keeping snakes. Feel free to ask questions. The others here don't mind a bit helping.
