Disappointing herp day :/

I was doing some yard work today and saw a red-bellied snake, a Dekay's brown snake, at least 3 pickerel frogs, AND a spotted salamander! BUT I couldn't catch any of them or get pictures! It was a good day for finding them but the best part for me is catching/documenting them. Anyways on the bright side I'm definitely getting either a BP or IJ carpet in October!

Wow man you're lucky. I consistently look for and cant find herps in southern new york! Cant hesitate bro just identify and grab lol

Yeah I know it was weird I usually don't find much actually but I just stumbled on another snake this morning! only saw the tail but it looked like a garter.

The last red bellied snake I caught in my yard was a western mud snake......really neat snake!!
