I just checked on my baby corn snake Sage and noticed his eyes are the unmistakable milky blue. It's gonna be his first time shedding in my care, I know the details of how to get a good shed but if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Corns pretty much dont need anything to shed well but a humid hide will always help. Either use sphagnum moss in a hide or damp kitchen roll.

The first shed is always so exciting! I do nothing for my corn when he is in shed and he has always had a great 1 piece shed. Hope you luck out and get to watch him do it!

My two corns never needed anything. However I always put in a piece of drift wood (bought not found) so they had something rough and uneven to rub against to help get it off. Plastic hides or round hides don't always give a good surface to get things started.
Be sure to post pics once she sheds. Nothing prettier than a freshly shed snake!!

Will do guys, he has a smooth hide which I'm gonna put paper towel in and a fake rock look hide that's pretty rough

I'm still waiting on my daughter's baby corn to shed. My baby columbian rainbow boa shed yesterday evening for the first time since I got him ....I didn't get to see it happen though :( .

Had 7 snakes for 18 months and so far only seen 2 shed "in the flesh". They normally do it when noone is looking!! "Ninja-shed" ;)

Let's see.. I got him just over a month ago.
Strange the first time my corn shed it is a adult and it had the smoky eyes and i know it was shedding but the next day the eyes where fine but no skin. It let me hold it for the first time that day and when I put her back and came back to pick her up again she shed and changed colors its strange k now. From a green and tan like a small rattler color to a black gray and a hint of tan

I think they usually get milky blue eyes then when it goes away that's when they shed. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

There's a liquid forming between the old skin and new skin allowing for a clean seperation of the two. That is what gives it that cloudy appearance.

Correct, youngster...from what I've been able to observe (I try to leave 'Celli alone when he's in shed) the eyes clear for 1-3 days, and then shedding transpires. You should keep track of when he sheds! I've saved all of Vermicelli's so far lol

Yes! I'm hoping for a nice one piece shed so that I can preserve it.
