I've recently bought a jungle corn snake.
He's eight months old and was wondering whether feeding him outside his vivarium was a good idea or not?

As long as you have a calm snake that won't get excited and regurgitate, there is nothing at all wrong with feeding outside the Viv.
I feed most of my snakes in a separate feed box, My corn and all but one of my milk snakes will even eat while I hold them.

Welcome... i tend to feed in the viv now as i have nervouse eaters lol. But it all depends what works for you and your snake with this one.

Thanks.
But being part king he is a rather keen eater. So if I feed him in the viv then will he associate my hand with prey after a while?

Not really no... scent plays a big part of the feeding response. My 4.5ft brb is a very aggressive feeder and has never shown any sign of aggression when i get her out by hand.
