This week Living Gems Reptiles profiles another one of its juvenile animals, the electric Spessartine. Spessartine is an August 2009 female. She has one of the most vivid orange highlight shades I’ve seen, and is (finally) a confirmed rat feeder, having preferred mice up until only a few months ago. As of July 2011, she weighed 960 grams.

Here she is in a sequence of three shots under different lighting, all taken in March 2011. Note that as opposed to many of my photos, there are *not* just-shed shots:

I now have a new favorite of your BRB's. I love it's clean, crisp, and unique pattern. This is a truly amazing looking BRB.

Stephan, I get them all over. Each year, I scour the top picks from the top litters from the top breeders to get the best (that I can) from that years' crop. Over time, it adds up....

Marvel, thank you. I agree she has amazing color. Her pattern does have a bit of bleed betwene the dorsal and side regions, but it adds character.

Onyx, LOL! BTW, one of my breeders for next year is named "Onyx" too...great name!

LOL! If that were the way it worked, 100s of herp lovers would change their names on a weekly basis!
