Saw this video on CNN this morning. Is it cruel, yes. I do understand why they wouldn't pull over on an interstate also. Thoughts?

Idiots, you can pull over if you need to. Its also not a damn water moccasin. If you live in an area with venomous snakes learn to identify the damn things.

Did you notice the "Kill it" after it fell off the car.

That's so horrible. Some people I swear, I don't understand why people hate snakes so much?
The only one that actually cared about the snake a little was the little kid, who because of his parents will probably grow up to hate them.. :(

Pine Snake? I agree ignorant a-holes. Lucky chance to see an awesome snake and all they want to do is gawk and wish it ill. Its just not fair. I wish I was that lucky to see such a large wild snake.

Though I have to wonder...if they were on the interstate when this happened...did they drive through town with it on their car? I mean what?

my aunt loves snakes and enjoys coming over and holding mine. my brothers wife on the other hand is scared of snakes and has passed her insecurities onto my young nephew who now doesn't like snakes either. i can understand if you don't like something, but don't mold your kid in a bad way just because you have irrational fears lol.

I was originally scared of snakes, but refused to pass that onto my sister, when she was 5 I held one for her, and tickled it to show her they were harmless, I had chills running down my spine. That broke my fear and a few weeks later I got my first tarantula :)

Absolutely disgusting.. atleast let it go after its been through an ordeal like that. I hate the comments i get whenever i mention i own snakes to people. Then you see parents telling their kids "dont go near that, it'll kill you". It makes me wanna scream!! Lol

I am glad my 6 year old is interested in our little hognose. He wants to watch her eat, help take care of her tank, ect. ect. To bad she freaks out when he is around. Being a 6 year old he doesn't get the concept of being calm. But that is okay he gets to help with the care of our lizards. I hope to keep fostering this interest in exotics so that when he is old enough I can get him his own lizard/snake (has already asked more than once for his own lizard) and he will be educated enough to take care of them.

Funny though it is our 2 dogs and cat that he is afraid of like most little kids are afraid of "creepy crawlies". Complains if the cat comes into his room, won't go anywhere near our two dogs if they are in the living room, and eyes all of them when he is eating as if they will snatch his food. Got no reason to be afraid the two dogs love him to death and the cat is actually paranoid of him and will vanish most of the day until he is in bed or in school.

That video is so sad- they could easily have pulled over to let the poor creature escape safely. Videotaping it and putting it online is just sick. I swerve to avoid frogs and snakes crossing the road, and if I can safely stop, I will stop and grab them and put them back in the grass off the road. I just can't believe someone would put that on the internet....

ive seen lines of traffic going around a scared dog frozen in the middle of the road before, a lot of people just don't care. i pulled over and chased the dog back to what i assume was its property.
