Housing snakes together is generally frowned apon, What sex are they?
If its male+female you need to separate them before they get to breeding age for sure.
Never feed one in front of the other.

It's not recommend, only if you have garter snakes, as I'm sure Wayne will pop in. When you house two, it will create a more stressful living space, and they could complete for the best warm spot and all that. I support housing 1 snake except for breeding purposes...

I was recomended not to, did loads and loads of reading/research and decided that although it was a risk i would go ahead, after a few weeks one started REALLY REALLY hassling the other so had to separate them anyway.

My advice now is to separate them always unless they are put together for breeding purposes.
