View Full Version : Snake breeding question
I have 4 corn snake pairs and 3 ball python pairs that I'm going to breed. 2 of my corn snake pairs should be ready to breed next year and the other 2 corn snake pairs and my 3 ball python pairs will be ready in 2-3 years. I plan on setting up tables at different expos, creating my own website, and posting in the classifieds on different forums. Anyway, I have heard so many bad things about craigslist lately and was wandering what you guys thought about posting on craigslist? BTW I was going to post this in the breeders forum, but I thought I would get more replies here.

Posting on craigslist is fine, buying off of it is sketchy.

Most normal morphs or low end morphs are very hard to sell on classifieds sites/to a store etc. You honestly won't make any money doing it, and it's a big waste of time.
I sell a large number of the more common herps (corns/balls/beardies/leos) on craigslist to people on a budget who want a reptile. You can balance somewhere between the crap prices you'd sell to a pet store and retail and meet in the middle and still make cash.
For example- I may have a corn snake baby, pet stores around here offer me around $5-10 per hatchling. Petco/Petsmart/etc all sell theirs for somewhere around $40. I sell mine at $20 with ease.
