First seperate them and asses the damage... What does it look like? I assume you already seperated them?

I am just wondering why were they even in the same tank temporarily? If you are really worried about them and want us to tell you what to do some pictures of their injuries might help. If there are no injuries that we can see why not take them to a vet or call a vet to see what their opinion is.
Also are you sure they weren't trying to mate? Were they the same sex for sure or do you not know for sure?
im not sure about their sex. it was way too violent for mating... i cant see any blood. only one of then seems to have a broken/displaced jaw :( i usually put them one tank together while im cleaning the tanks.... this happened 5 mins ago.. they are separated now. im scared to touch the one with the seemingly injured jaw... should i wait till it calms down or push an check ant way... OMG this suxx sooooo much!!!

I would wait and see if the jaw goes back into place. If he took a bite at the other one it might go back on it's own....like after a feeding. What makes you think it's broke, just because it's hanging a little?

lol thx for the joke... but i am more than sure they were not trying to mate...

Sorry to hear that wasn't the case. I'd wait a while and see if the jaw goes back on it's own. Then (depending on your snakes temperment) Gently palpate from head to toe to see if anythings REALLY out of place. I'm going to bed. Good luck.

Well that is lesson learned! Leave the snake and he will re align his jaw. It can take some time so don't panic..
it realinged its jaw... man im still scared tho... like they were constricting each other... anyway thats what it looked like. i could hear them weesing and scales rripping or wtv... im gonna check them real good tomorrow morning... that was the worst thing ever i felt so helpless :(

Sounds like it was two mature males combating. Which is what happens when they are placed together, even for five minutes. Did they bite each other? Were they striking at one another?

Good thing it is over now and when you check them later feel for broken ribs. This may not be easy to tell but try to slide your fingers over each side to feel any indentations. If you hit a spot and they jerk then examine it closer.
Did they release on their own and how long did it last? Oh, and what size are they?

Now THAT was helpful as the first response. ;)

Why empty both tanks at teh same time - why not take one snake out, clean the cage, put snake back and then do the same with the other one? Seems daft to do both at same time?

I think they took one snake out and instead of having it loose or whatever while cleaning they put it in with another snake they had.

It's always good to have a spare tank at hand. I do my cleaning when they're eating and by the time they're done so am I.

I totally agree but i wouldnt put TWO snakes into the spare tank at teh same time - i also thoroughly clean the spare tank in between each snake going in there to avoid any risk of cross contamination.

Agreed. That is a must. Besides, I don't like to have bodily fluids from the last feeding around. That's just yucky.

thats what i did... i wont do that again... i didnt see then strick all i heard was a big noise (thump) then i look over and its a big ball of angry snakes:( i saw one of thenm biting the other... they let go on their own. they are both a bit over 5 ft. im gonna inspect now.. :s im a bit scared that they will attck me tho... im ready to take it.. *SIGH*

They should be fine, snakes generally have small teeth and unless there was tearing, or eye damage they bounce right back.
inside one of their moths there seems to be a bit of damage :( no blood tho anf they both seem fine other wise... i guess i will book a visit to the vet just incase...

Good plan, when you say damage, what does that mean?
there seems to be some ripped tissue. very little im not sure... im gonna get them both checked out. i wouldnt want to have to deal with a big infection.. better safe than sorry
could it be that one of them got a feeding response on the other? they are due to eat tomorrow?

Normally its smell/heat that sets that off. Can't say for sure.
