Is everyone here positive that sticking a flash camera a couple inches from the snakes eye repeatedly for close-ups is not harmful to the snake's vision??

I try and not use the flash if I can... Not too sure on the effects on the snakes eyes but it may startle 3g hem.

i think that the flash will have the same effect as we do from flash on cameras tbh, they cant really see in the same way we do (with the exception of a certain viper), snakes mostly see in infra-red and can only pick up on heat signatures, it will startle them but have no effect to there eyes.
please correct me if im wrong anyone

I tend to use the zoom for closeups ratner than stick the camera in the snakes face, also i try not to use flash as it washes he colours out too much.
