It's time for a bigger tank...for dexter. He's currently in a 20g long, but is bout to out grow it.... I read 30 g long, or 55 gal long would be fine, bit what is the best.... I was thinking of the 55 just bc it is bigger... but still wants some opinions... thanks! And if I build one, what material should I use?

40 breeders are really good cuz they have more depth.

We are gonna use a 4ft by 2.5 by 2.5ft viv when we get ours.

Why is depth overly important? they don't climb, other than to get closer to the lamp.

A standard 4 x 2 x 2 tank is best for them....

ill just go for 4x2x2... even if i have to build one, but i really dont want to..

i have two beardies used to be in a 5x2 enclosure i built but now there in a 40g i think, its 48 by 18 before that there were in a 36x18 if you just have the one beardie i would say build him one out of wood and no less then 36x18.
you should be able to calm her down just give her plenty of food and room, i got mine used to me by feeding meal worms with tongs and a spray bottle, they love drinking from them.

Beardies love to be up high, it is a sign of dominance for them. If they are higher then everything else they feel safe. Also with a good amount of substrate in their tanks they will dig and burrow a bit too. My tank for my adult is 4ft long, 2ft wide and 3ft tall with 7 inches of substrate and branches that reach nearly to the top. Muncher spends most of his time at the very top or digging under the food dish.

i feed mine alot of her veggies by hand, and mealworms by tongs.. i also spray him with a bottle too! lol

as for the cage, im not sure what i am going to do, even though i have a snake room, space is still limited. and a 4 ft long tank will take up pratically a whole wall...:(

i thought he wanted a glass aquarium and a 40 breeder has a lil more floorspace than a 55g tank, i didnt refer to the height of the tank, but yes beardies will climb a little if provided.

my beardies climb everything, i used to have Dreadlocks and whenever i would put my beardie on my shoulder he would climb ontop my head and stay they for time.

i think i am going with the 40 gal breeder... i know its not what you reccomend, but ive read a few places that a 30x24x24 is fine for one, and a 40 gal breeder i believe is close to that...

Thanks guys. LiL_Boa mine is the same 4x2x2 all melamine I just painted it, I had the front wooden part custom made by a friend but its pretty much the same as the crossfire model. Have you thought about doing your own rocks walls? There are great guides online and it might have took forever but it is really rewarding, everything about that viv is custom made but the tile (which I painted also :P)

LOL THAT SEEMS HUGE!!!!! but awesome!!! i really am excited, I'm still confused on how to do my front of the cage. I am doing either slidding glass, or a drop down piece of glas that folds down...

could you post some more pics?!?!
