I caught a decent sized milk snake in my bedroom that was way too skinny so I kept her for a month and fed her got her fat again and was debating releasing her (This house kills snakes, I try to rehab as many as I can, I caught three this month already, one was almost doa =(). She is completely docile. Never struck or musked. Took food on the first try. Doesn't love being handled but doesn't bite, just runs.

I changed cages to a clear one, for a few days she was fine, fed her. After she came out of the food coma she spent the next two days biting at the clear plastic. I cooled her down a bit, added some hides, fed her again and I've only seen her try one more time......

Thoughts?

thanks.

No idea, is she biting the spots the foot item was sitting on?

Nope. Seemed to be testing all the sides and even the top once. Was kind of freaky. She stopped about three days ago. I'm thinking it was stress. She's spent the last three days after a meal just sleeping in the open, shes in the main room. She could care less about us. Thats the way she was for the first three weeks. I've never seen a snake bite the cage before, she didn't strike it, kind of chewed at it. She wasnt being agressive towards me, I could see her doing it across the room while I was watching tv. If I came over she seemed to almost take comfort in me and would rub against my hand touching the plastic. It was like, ok, maybe it's time for you to go, or a bigger enclosure, or I don't know what. lol.
