On monday i will be flying to Oklahoma to spend 17 days with family. But, I have not found anyone that i can trust to care for my baby gargoyle gecko. So, i will have to bring him. My flight is with Delta so i know my airline does ship reptiles but i have no idea how it works, How would i pack him? would there be any fees? Anybody know how much the fee for a gecko this small would be? how much do you think this would cost overall, packing & airline fees? If it is too expensive, i will have to put him in a zipper pocket in a pair of cargo shorts and take a chance. I have done this before but with hermit crabs, and this was on an international flight from Jamaica back to FL as a little kid ON 9/11 AND MY COUSIN ACCIDENTALLY BROUGHT BACK A LIVE SHOTGUN SHELL IN HIS CARRY ON that he forgot in there when we were wingshooting.

Well you'll need to pack him in a deli cup most likely with some paper towel. You'll have to book a flight that takes cargo. Put the deli cup in a small box. Don't need airholes but be sure to mark it correctly that it's a live reptile and needs to be kept at room temperature and that it doesn't get flipped upside down.
Secondly, call delta to ensure you can get it on the flight and any paper work necessary.

Have you called local Vets to see if they would help you out? Quite a few vets board animals now and maybe one will take yours in. If you provide the habitat than all they have to do is feed and clean a bit.

As poor an idea as it is, your local pet store will probly take him for the time you need for a fee. I know the pet store down the street from me takes Snakes for a month at a time from this one guy.
