This week Living Gems Reptiles profiles one of its juvenile animals, Prometheus. Prometheus is a September 2009 male. He is a cool little dude, with vivid color and a friendly personality. As of March 2011, he weighed 494 grams (making him one of my lightest 2009s).
Here he is in a sequence of three shots under different lighting, all taken in March 2011:

Beautiful BRB. I like how the how his color fade as it goes down. Almost like the white wash effect. Very stunning Orange on this guy.

As always, very nice, Cliff! He looks a little shy, though, trying to hide his head in the blanket!

Thanks everyone!
Shaun, they are all accurate for color -- in their respective lighting situations. I don't have him outside often, so that particular look is one I rarely see. The others are more common.
Ed, he was indeed being a shy boy that day. Not sure if it was the moving around or the camera, he's usually pretty calm.
Thanks Kayla, we like the name too. After all, his job is to bring some fire to our lineup.... ;-)

What a little beauty. Did you spray the blanket with febrez? His face buried in it makes me think of the commercials. lol! :)

Hahah! No, but maybe I should approach them with that commerical idea.... ;-)

Hey, couldn't hurt! Prometheus could be the next spokessnake for smell good stuff! In the commercial it could have him say, "sssssmell ssssomething not ssso sssswell? ssspray it with Febrezzzze" (I am assuming snakes would have an issue with their z's as well.) :)

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when that marketing pitch came to P&G executives over the phone....
