Wow, it's been a while ......... lost both Columbians and my beloved 17 yr old Mangrove Monitor "Spencer" in the past year ...... Any my son's been very sick and missed 7 months of his school year..... Anyway, my son's slowly getting better, and my trio of Brazilian Rainbow Boas surprised me in the nicest way on sunday morning (July 10th) ..... I came home from work , and went straight to their enclosure to change out their water......When I opened the cage , a little head took a nip at my hand...... Wow !! I slowly opened up the cage and looked around in the mulch to find 11 babies , 3 slugs , and 4 stillborns...... that part made me sad , but the 11 others have been extremely amusing , to say the least ! I've got them separated into two aquariums , with moss, hiding areas , climbing branches and a water dish...... whenever you reach in , at least 3 take a nip at my hand .... they're nippy little guys ! Once you handle them individually for a minute, they calm right down and don't offer to bite......... Anyway, I am going to look for homes for them , but no huge hurry ..... having a ball with them right now ! Here's a couple of pics ..... Cheers, Les

Great find, but were they being housed together or something?
If you are giving away freebees I'd take one :P I'd pay shipping and I'm not far away lol.

Actually I kept my two females together for about 5 years, before discovering that my "breeding pair " were both females !! Anyway, I located a nice looking male , about 1 year old at the time, introduced him to the females , and kept them all together in a large enclosure ever since.... I had actually pretty much given up on them having babies , being busy in other aspects of life, kids , work , etc.... So I was content just keeping them healthy and happy for the rest of their lives....... Sunday was a big surprise , and we're very happy ..... Cheers, Les
