Posted my first post a few days ago, but thought I should say hello here as well.

Just a normal family guy with a dog and hopefully soon a snake as well.

Looking at a corn snake of the Motley varietly, I am moving towards Hypo Motley or Sunglow Motley both seem to be beautiful.

I am divided between male and female, I have no plans to ever breed a snake. I am not sure how extreme the tail tapering is on female corn snakes so I am maybe leaning towards a male for purely aesthetic reasons. Assuming there is no difference in general temperament between males and females.

I live in the Oklahoma City area and I am hoping to find a local Breeder, but so far I am coming up short so I may have to order off the internet from somewhere close because of the heat here lately.

I am currently trying to wrap my head around a cage for the snake but that will require a separate post.

So Hello, Greetings and Salutations.

Welcome to the forums, the main difference is size, female snakes tend to get larger/longer then males.

Hello and welcome! As far as ordering on line any good breeder will wait till there's a break in the weather before shipping. Usually if it going to be over 90 or under 40 degrees they won't ship. Plus depending on what it calls for they will use cold or heat packs to keep the temp in the box a safe temp.
