Ok, within a couple weeks I will be ready for my second snake. Right now I have a yearling dwarf RTB (about 2ft) and am looking into some of the larger breeds. I REALLY want an albino burm, but I simply won't have room for its adult enclosure for another year, so my first question: how large are burms at a year old? I can handle/accomodate 6-8 ft, and once I move next summer I should have plenty of room, but is there a chance it could get to 10+ feet in the first year? If so I will have to hold off, I refuse to be such an irresponsible keeper.
I have looked into dwarf retics and yellow annies, but they are illegal where I currently live (but not where I am moving), so would rather not take my chances with them. Sure, I could probably get away with it, but it simply isn't worth the risk.
I have a local breeder that just hatched some carpets, the coastals look especially beautiful, or I could get a female RTB to go with my male.
Sorry, just kind of thinking out loud here, don't want to make an impulse purchase I'm not ready for!
