Thank you all. She is a total sweetheart. Never bit or even tried to strike and she only hissed one time when she was in blue and I tried to pick her up to let her swim. It was because I couldn't see where her head was so I went in slowly towards what I thought was the opposite of the pointy end. But as soon as I heard the hiss I removed my hand and started talking to her. Then I came from the other side and she had no problem with me picking her up. She even butted noses with my dog and cat and rather recoiled then strike or hiss. She's a cutie pie.

Ohhh that's a possibility. I was referring to myself as mom, but that's OK. It was a nice comment either way. :)
