I bought my first set of pinkies. Got the smallest size for now, just to make sure he can handle them. [I know, I'm paranoid, but ah well.] However, when I took Achillies Heel out to put a fresh dose of Neosporin on he freaked out far worse than any other time I picked him up, trying to get away. Finally got him calmed down and picked him up [he seemed to calm down once he put his own head in my hand, so I'm not sure if he didn't realize it was me or what] I took him out to sit in the sun while I put his medicine on, because it always seems to help keep him calm to be sunning and relaxing while I do that.
That was when I noticed, his eyes are cloudy today, and he had loose skin pealing at his tail! I gently rubbed off the loose skin on his tail after putting the medicine on him, then he turned himself and moved his body under my rubbing thumb. When I did put him back in his tank he instantly started rubbing against EVERYTHING, so he's definitely ready to shed soon! Shedding means he's healing, right? Eeee! I'm just so excited for my first shed!
Guess this means I'm not thawing out my first pinkie today though... Ah well, I was pretty nervous about whether or not he'd even actually eat it. Now I get to put that worry off for a few more days.
Alright, I promised there would be more photos soon, so here some are.
Some pictures of him in his tank. I know, it's old, beat up, and has held everything from fish to hermit crabs in it's life. I got it... Second, third? Many hands down... The mirroring on the back has some chipping along the edges.... Yeah, it's not the prettiest, but it was free!
Now, in there he has the cool, twisty branch I found and baked, an antler, his water bowl on a shelf, a hide, a flat rock and a sandstone rock to rub against [is that okay? I know sand isn't good, but I wasn't sure about sandstone], and a piece of dried out root to hide under/shed against.

And here's more of Achillies himself! You can sorta see the two worst of his wounds, which both seem to be healing nicely. They certainly look better than they did!
