So my friend and his son came by my hose for the 4th , we went fishing last nght ( Pics later ) and this morning his son ( PICTURED HOlDING THE SNAKE IN DINO PJS:)) caught this baby black racer ...... he got bit in the process:)

They look great, really close to northern water babies :)


Raised both and not really. ;) the patterning may be a little similar, but the body structure is very long and slender.

Toby is a young adult now, he's long and fat and really aggressive, forget handling, he wants no part of it. You may as well stick your hands in a piranha tank.

He is a super aggressive eater and slams down 3 fuzzy mice each meal and wants more.

He's one of my favourite snakes.

Its a locale of garter if I'm not mistaken? Might be a morph but I'm 90% sure its a locale.

They look pretty cool, I found a black whip snake on one of my trips to florida (I was 9), can barely remember what it looked like but I think it looked like that.

I got him from a guy in Florida. He's a Southern Racer.

Getting him started was a nightmare, he would only eat live Anoles for his first 10 or so meals before he would take pinkies.

too bad they grow out of that awesome patterning, still cool snakes, i bet they'd be great trainers for something like a mamba. But i dont know why anyone would want a mamba when these guys are just as cool, minus the venom
