DOGS STOLEN!! Please Help! Cash REWARD (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/pet/2469162410.html)

i can't even imagine people who would steal other peoples pets out of their truck while they are at the store. disgusting.

Oh my God...that is awful! I would be devastated if anyone stole my dog. Or my cats, or my snakes. What kind of disgusting person does that?

Happened to my fiance's step father. Stole his german shepard puppy right out of the back yard. He found her in someone's enclosed porch a few blocks away. He stole her back and reported them. Someone here had a husky stolen not too long ago. I would absolutely freak out.

This is why you dont leave incredibly valuable dogs in public view unattended. Same reason you dont leave valuable technology or cash on your dash when you go into a store and leave your car in the parking lot.

Anyways its a good chance these dogs were taken by PETA style Animal rights morons who get all up tight about leave dogs in a car. Happens around here alot except they just call the police and the humane society. theres a good chance these dogs are in a shelter right now.

Sucks bad, but a car alarm + locking the doors would have solved the issue...

Or not leaving the dog in the car in first place, i have personally smashed a car window and rescued a dog close to death from heatstroke cos the police wouldnt attend. I also regularly call the police and RSPCA if i see any animal left in a car, windows open or not.

I have 2 dogs that I love very much and feel that you shouldn't leave any animal in a car unattended...just as you wouldn't leave your child in a car unattended

i often lock my dog in the car for 5 or 10 minutes at a time if i'm going to a store or something. i've never put her in jeopardy.

Likewise, Every time we go driving and know we wont be in the store long they come with me, We blast the AC so its cold as hell before we leave the car and if the line ups are too long we send someone to the car to check on them.

It says they were stolen from a truck. Mals are not small animals. Might have beend stolen from the bed of a pickup. Doesn't specify though. However, it would be extra stupid if they were riding around with them in the back of a pickup too.

either way, it's messed up to steal someone elses pet, even if it was just tied to a pole outside the store.

if you know your going to the store why not just keep the pet at home, the only time i take our dog on a car ride is if we go to the lake or if we 'have' to go to the store on our way back home there is always someone in the car with her with the ac on.

gota get them used to it some day, that way when you go camping they don't puke on what you plan to sleep in.

when i got my dog as a puppy she hated the car and used to whine while driving. now she doesn't care in the slightest.

I have a video of my car rides with the dog, the way the wind hits his nose flaps, sounds like a whistle.

Here is a pic of my beloved Lab girl Nellie. She was 12.5 when she passed and the sweetest most loving dog. First pic is her smiling. ;) and the second is her just chilling and being sweet. I miss her so.

This Smudge, my baby that i had to give up to a better home after my accident cos i couldnt cope with his size and strength and the affect that it had on his personality too. He went back to being the daft active dog when he went to his new home with a batchelor who couldgive him the attention and exercise he needed.

good that he's happy :)
a lot of selfish people would have kept the dog by their side.

my brother had a husky named Yukon that he got as a tiny puppy and trained SUPER well and he listened super well and did ABUNCH of tricks and stuff. but my brother worked a lot and whenever he left the dog home it would pull the escape artist tricks and get out somehow. not to mention husky's "territory" is like 5 miles lol. so we'd catch him like going across town and he'd look at you like "what......im in my back yard!!??"

my brother eventually ended up giving him to a really nice family that lived across town and took wonderful care of him. my brother didn't live at the house anymore, but every now and then Yukon would escape from the other house and run to ours and hang out for a bit. eventually i think he realized my brother wasn't going to be there anymore and he eventually stopped coming. he ended up getting cancer at a very old age and dieing a year or so back. made me pretty sad. he was an amazing dog.

i still have the picture of my brother sitting with him as a little puppy, and i took another polaroid when he was grown up and he had his back legs up on the couch and his front on the ground sitting like a human.

The first one, Spike is awesome, Pure bred hovawart with an abnormal pattern.
Second one is a golden retriever Bubbles, shes a lil fatty with an annoyingly large craving for attention.

Lets take a semi expensive dog and put it in the back of a truck then be shocked when something happens. I mean I feel bad for him, but anyone who leaves their dog in the back of a truck is asking for trouble. I've seen a couple leap out in the middle of the interstate, run off from grocery stores, get stolen etc. It's typical- need to go to the store? Leave your dog at home unless going somewhere the dog can go in with you.
