I'm terrible with names, best female snake name I know of is asker (they ask you for the name you say asker and they ask the snake) and Kirana.

Gorgeous boa you have there. I really like them but they get a bit too heavy bodied for me. I think you should call her Ridley.

This is just a humble thought (as I'm no boa expert by any means) but if it's her first week with you, perhaps she is still stressed out, and stress can = aggression. This is true with people too:p
I know it's best to give a new snake time, often more than a week to settle in before putting further stress on them with handling. It's like one step at a time - 1. New home 2. New owner
Maybe just give her a little more time to get used to her new home, and take it slow with handling her. I've dealt with rescues before when I adopted reptiles from a local zoo, and getting them used to handling again took a lot of patience and perseverance! If this is all that's causing her nippiness, then I'm sure she'll calm down in time:) Good luck!

Yes im hoping its just shes young n stressed from the move.. I was just mentioning her behavior.
Well 6 out of 10 of my boas are sweet, the other 4 are still tolerable but they are vocal. I would just wait it out as she is a new snake to you.

I hope that's the case too! Actually, I'll be in the same boat as you later this week - I'm getting my first BCI this Thursday! I'm very excited:) I'm sure I'll be asking the same or similar questions later on regarding behavior. Hope she calms down for you soon:) Keep us posted!
ps: She's gorgeous!! Love the Sharps!:)

Baby snakes can also be quite nippy...but with work and size they often outgrow it. It also has a lot to do with what localities of boa are in her genetics. If she's Colombian, she'll most likely be very calm as she grows. If she's got some of the other types in her, she might tend to be more aggressive.
Be patient with her- give her time and she'll be fine. Remember, they are born with a "bite first, ask questions later" attitude- in the wild this keeps them from being eaten before they have a chance to grow. Large, adult snakes have few predators, so they can afford to be complacent.
