Hello. I do not handle or keep any hots, not do i have any interest in it. BUt i quite enjoy photographing them!

I find lots of cobras here, in Taiwan (and have not even a single picture of one of them! man they move fast...no waiting around fo rthese guys!). BUt i am really trying to find a cluster of eggs to get a pic of. Anyone have any hints on wht type of situations i might find them? I always see them in grassy/weedy farm areas. flat and not alot of anythign but weeds/grass/trees etc. due to flooding, i doubt they would be underground, which makes me wonder where they may lay..?

Most snake nests that I have found are underground. Haven't found any that were on land.

thats good to know. BUt tdue to summer wet season and flooding, that would seem to lead to eggs ebing laid in the dry season, would that make sense? Here that is about Sept/Oct to March, usually. Most snakes i am sort of familiar with here hibernate until about Feb/March, so maybe spring is the time to look? I have yet to see any babies, that i would be able to judge as being born this year.

A good thing to remember is that holes dont just go down, the burrow could go up at a 45 degree angle, then open into a laying chamber. so floods might not be that harmful to them
