You really should have done some research or something before accepting this (or any) animal. However, if you are really serious about getting help look online for guides and such. Read up on the species in general outside of just keeping one as a pet. And above all else keep in mind what is told you here. I myself am not familiar with the species in question...but I am sure there are plenty here who can help. Just be calm and patient.

Pygmy (anthill) pythons are the same genus as the common Children's python, and therefore require similar care. They are a semi-arid climate snake, so they do not require much extra humidity. Anthill pythons are timid and therefore like plenty of places to hide. Aspen or crushed walnut is a suitable substrate, deep so they can dig into it and hide if they choose. Keep the temps warm- you want a cool end of 80-82 and a basking area around 88-92, much like you would for a RTB, except with less humidity. Antaresia species do not do well if kept too humid. Feeding can be done once every 7-10 days for a juvenile, or 14 days for an adult.
Where do you live? If you aren't too far away from me, I'll help out as much as I can. I love Antaresia species and have never seen a pygmy python in the flesh!

Hahaha, thanks Shaun. There are plenty out there that know far far more than I do. I just happen to have a soft spot for some of the more obscure species, and I read...a lot. I personally kept Stimsons pythons for years, and had read a lot on all the Antaresia species. Pygmy pythons are very rare and usually cost quite a bit of $$$$$...so I really hope to see pictures of this one!
I'll start the chant- Pictures, Pictures, PICTURES!!! lol

2-3 foot enclosure is plenty of room. Basking spot of 35C.. Substrate, aquarium gravel would be more suitable. 1 or 2 "slate ackie" stacks close to the basking spot and plenty of hides...
