This is my new Cresty; Zipper! He's male, around 6 years old and was badly taken care of. He was only fed bananas and hungry crickets about 3 times a week, given no light, he lost his tail but he still looks cute!
Since moving, I've cleaned out his cage (much needed) and put in a Pothos with a new light. I mist his plants so he can actually drink and fed him peach baby food and gecko diet out of his water bowl. <-- I've heard conflicting comments from many sources about baby food. (shed some light?) I was planning on giving him 2 crickets tomorrow night (gutloaded and dusted)

Cute crestie. I would immediately stop feeding him the baby food. If you have CGD readily available, just stick to that (and dusted insects if you want). The CGD is nutritionally balanced and will keep your little guy very healthy.

Also, extra lighting is not necessary for crested geckos. They are nocturnal and do just fine with regular room lighting.

If you have trouble making the change between baby food and CGD you can PM me - I had that problem back when I got Rodney. Someone gave me bad advice on feeding cresties and when I read online that they should be eating CGD I made the switch!
