Okay so I’ve had my new BP Lestat for about 4 months now (this isn’t the one that wasn’t feeding) and He is Healthy as far as I know, and he has eaten for me 3 times. After the third time he went into a shed (with out passing a Bowel movement) the shed was great 4 days and he was done! And then he was out looking for food last night.

Now here is when my question comes in, last night well he was roaming around he passed a BIG stinker (didn’t really smell) and then he continued on roaming well he was looking around he past another very watery mucus (not sure what it was) poop. I know when the Bowel movements are watery it can be Parasites, but I know that he would be stressed from the parasite and he would also lose weight right? And he is not.

I’m taking the Good poop for a fecal sample and a swab of the other stuff. I also found a tiny little bit of blood mucus like stuff in his water dish what is that? Is something really wrong with my baby or will a good dose of de wormer do the trick??

thank you
grace

Snakes dont always start loosing weight right away when internal parasites set in. A lot of times it wont happen for months. As for the blood mucus in the water dish, make sure you tell the vet what you found. He'd probably be best at helping you with that.

And a word of advise....When in doubt, Ask your vet.
Im so glad to hear you are taking a sample to the vet. That is step one in heim getting better.

There are some things the forum members can answer, but a lot we can not. We try though....lol

Good luck with her and keep us posted.
