Oracle loooves to dig lol. she spends like half her time under the substrate.

yea, dumerils love to dig. also they are ambush hunters and like to explode onto the prey above from below the substrate lol.

Yes it is I had mine in 2' deep dirt you would only ever see his nostrils and tongue flick

You thpught about doubling the depth of substrate? Give her lots of exploring to do?

what substrate are you using, it looks like bark lol, bt that is cute and really good camouflage

Haha, you can barely see her in there! Dumerils are ground snakes, so they often dig themselves down into the dirt and/or fallen leaves to hide. BTW, I am digging the name..>Oracle...so pretty!

thanks. i might buy some more bags of repti bark and coconut husk later but i don't have anymore right now. also i can't imagine there would be multiple feet of dirt and leaves on the ground in the wild. i imagine the ground would only have less then 6 inches of loose dirt and such.
