The reason that I found your site today is because I literally stumbled on a stray pet snake today in a a appartment complex driveway. It appears to be a constrictor and I would like to know how to treat it or to whom I should talk on how to have the snake taken care of. I do a have a picture of him.
He's about 2 to 3 feet long, grayish with delicate mottling... maybe he's molting?

To me it looks like some kind of python morph. It does look like it might be in shed. If you could get a close up shot of the head from the top and side would really help. You need to set up a cage with a hide at each end, water bowl, and heat source at one end. You can just line the bottom of the cage with news papers for now. You want to keep the warm end around 85 degrees the cool end around 72. This is just a safety zone on the temp as we're not sure what kind of snake it is. The temps could be higher or lower depending what kind it is. Which is what we really need to figure out, so we can give you the best advice. So please some more picture would really help.

Thanks for the info... my wife was totally going to disown me if I didn"t get rid of the snake.... I passed the snake on to a institution here in Montreal that recuperates lost souls, just like this one.
At least he's going to be attended to.
Marc
wow its so sad to see this happen... incidents like this will have snake owners like us worry about banns and all different kinds of consequeces..:( im glad u took care of it and brought it somewhere where it will be taken care of! Good job!

Hi Mikey:
I forwarded the snake ultimately to Magazoo here in Montreal. They appear to be rather unique in as much that they popularize and dispel myths about reptiles.
The site is:
sSnakeSs.com (http://www.ssnakess.com/index.php)
When it comes to snakes, spiders, bats, wolves, etc., we still have a long way to go.
Cheers... Marc
