Herping with Kragar

We got a new member on the forums yesterday, turns out he lives close to me so we went herping :)

Only got 6 northern water snakes a yellow spotted salamander and 2 RESs in about an hour but damn was it a workout:P 2-5 feet of mud and tons of mosquitoes and horse flies. Not to mention the scorching Canadian heat and humidity :P

I forgot my camera at home so didn't photograph the RESs, but got pics of the water snakes :)

The lil ones were a bit nippy but the large ones were dog tame and never ones attempted to bite.

it was awesome! we had a blast we also found 2 red eared slider baby turtles but this is a snake forum!!!! they were all sleeping on top of each other like a happy family, perhaps it was mommy and daddy and the babies? lol

He was worried we wouldn't find anything, but we didnt even get to the lake yet and I had my first snake:P got the others shortly after.

He took me herping at his spot today and we got 1 snake:P I'll get him to upload a pic once he gets back.
