I will remember :) I was a member of the forum a long time ago but can't remember the user name I had :) There have been many changes to the site since I have been gone.

Ok people its crunch time! Only 3 weeks left until the show and there is still plenty of room. The advertising has started and the community has started to buzz. This show holds huge potential, the area is chock full of early 20s – late 30s riggers that don’t know what to spend their money on and it burns holes in their pockets! If you’re going to book it has to be now, no more waiting just do it. This show is happening one way or another and the public will expect to see lots of vendors. I realize that some of you can’t make it for various reasons (work, family, other commitments, etc) but you have been screaming for more shows for a long time now. Put your money where your mouth is and help me make this show a success. I can’t do it alone.

I know the area is small and a ways away from most of you but if we want to bring awareness and education to the public it can’t just happen in the large centers. Assuming that the rest of Alberta is going to travel to Edmonton, Red Deer, or Calgary to check out a show on a subject that they have never thought about before is ridiculous. We have to bring it to them, show them that snakes aren’t slimy, turtles aren’t illegal, and tarantulas won’t eat you in your sleep. This industry has become entirely money oriented, there is little passion for the animals left and I am sick of it; frankly I’m appalled by it!

I understand that this post is going to anger some of you but it has to be said! You can’t wait until next year to see if this show will be a success. If the vendors are not at the show the first time the public will not come back the next year! That includes the other shows as well, look at how the attendance rates have dropped at the main shows.

Enough said,
Joseph Elliott

Well it has been pointed out to me that the community is not willing to take the risk of the show flopping and them being out money. So I am going to swallow my pride and offer free tables to anyone that wants them. You can book as many tables as you need but please do not book unless you plan to show. The venue can hold 160+ tables so there is lots of room. Please help me make this show a sucess.
