I like being able to identify snakes, but my only problem is I'm not that good at it. In the last six months I've gotten much better however =). I just wish people would tell you what kind of snake it is when they post a pic.
Anyone else?

I don' t mean to state the obvious... but very rarely are ball pythons posted in the Venomous forum. it is most of the time self explanatory. and about 95% of the time the name of the snake is given. Sometimes even the latin name.

Telling the difference will come with time, how ever with all the different species that look similar it can take a scale count to tell the difference.
Pythonian: Not every species of snake has their own forum, some have to share. ie there's multiple kinds of bloods, a multiple morphs of corns, never mind all the different kings, rats and milks. Many boa's look the same to the untrained eye. Venomous covers a huge number of species from cobras to rattlers to mangroves...

Well, the nice part of having your problem is working on the solution! To fix your problem, you need to look at MORE snake pics! How sweet is that?!?!?
:)
Cranwill: sounds like an excelent perscription. Yay Doc

Pythonian, I don't mean to state the obvious...but there is a General Python forum where people will post pictures of many different kinds of pythons. Oh, and you talk about venomous snakes...there is only one forum I can see for venomous snakes. I do believe there is more than one kind of venomous snake? Get my point? hehe =)
