I took a few pics of my bearded yesterday enjoying his new rocks and thought to share them. Hopefully soon I can get pics of him out and about enjoying the grass (once I get my hubby to mow it)

He really seems to enjoy his rocks and once I get a few more big ones to get him closer to his heat I think he will enjoy them even more.

I am not sure on what kind he is as we bought him from a very small pet store in Georgia. He was really cheap and I think he and his tank mates were more of a "help us get rid of these guys" since they were really the only reptile in the store.

I will say that right now he is much more brown than he normally is and usually is orange and yellow. He goes through slight color shifts depending on how close or far away from shedding he is.

Got some better pics of him this evening while he decided to lounge all lazy like on me and my bed. I think it shows his oranges and such much better...if not a bit exaggerated ;)

This first picture I just love. He has such a cute face.

And now some other nice shots while he snoozed...

And one last shot of the underneath of his head/neck. Shot taken while laying on my chest...the goofy boy.

He really is! Have to annoy him just to get him moving. If it weren't for his breathing I would wonder if he is still with us LOL Have had people at the pet store I go to with him ask if he is real since he doesn't move. Right now he is just chilling on my shoulder and front and gets irritated when I shift in my desk chair. Its late for him to be up.

haha :D
years ago my buddy's neighbor came to his door with a bearded dragon with a nub tail, he named him "Johnson" from Halo 1. Johnson has used my friends ENTIRE room as his viv for the last MANY years lol. he was basically in hibernation for like 2 years and didnt eat anything, then one day i decided to feed him some meal worms, and he ate like 20 of them then took a HUGE dump. ever since then he has been pretty active again. everytime i go to his house i look around the floor and find johnson and grab him up. he's a very lazy animal lol, awesome one though.

My dragon turns his nose up at mealworms and every other kind of worm. Its all crickets for him. He can chomp down close to 20-30 at a time. He doesn't even chase them. Just sits in the middle of his tank waiting for the dumb things to just crawl by him. About the only time I see him active is when he digs his hole to sleep in. Oh and what I jokingly call his "bi-annual escape attempt" when he takes the entire day to dig at the corners of his tank to try and get out.

Hopefully he will enjoy his day out tomorrow when we take him to the reptile expo and not be a lazy grump. Either way he does seem to enjoy riding and being out and about. Even if it is on my shoulder or chest all day.

Thanks Freebody! I hope I can get him out in the grass soon. When he isn't being lazy he is getting kinda antsy and a time outside is just what he needs.

Nenna, just have one little concern that may be nothing so apologies, if you carry him around with you, and especially to an area where there are lots of other reptiles are you not risking picking up mites and bringing them home to your snakes?
