bit of a silly question

does anyone know how to tell when a leopard gecko is gunna shed, is it a similar sign to snakes or is it slightly different

Mine will turn a pasty white just before shedding.

They get very pale and white/gray looking, but their eyes don't turn blue like snakes. They also eat their own skin when they shed.

ok thanks both, the reason for asking is becoz my girl has gone "dull" coloured so thought it best to ask.

I've never noticed any signs of my gecko shedding. Twice I've been lucky enough to walk into my room in the wee hours of the morning and catch him mid shed. the first time i saw it I got really freaked out because I didn't know what was happening :P

lucky, i still have lots of pictures of the gecko i used to have, and some shedding pics. she was a mega cutie.
