The Great Escape

So I had my first snake escape scare today. Apparently my little hoggie is getting bigger (though she hasn't shed yet). I put her in a empty butter tub to feed in with a couple of coffee filters (to hold scent of past feedings). Well after my little girl gets done eating her pinky she decides she doesn't want to wait in the tub for my return. So she shoves the lid open (never fully close it) and leaves. Thankfully however there are plenty of hiding places on the table I have her feeding tub on and she didn't go far. Found herself a nice hiding spot in some old folded up place mats.

And of course she hisses at me letting me know she likes her new spot and would rather be left alone. She is such an independent little stinker. I do love my Adelina (little noble).

My bf learned the same the first time he fed our little MBK in his margarine feed tub. He placed the lid on loosely and topped with the feeding tongs which he thought would be enough to weigh it down. Thankfully our snake didn't get too far either. Just poke some tiny air holes in the lid if you're concerned about ventilation and seal it up tight next feed to avoid any further Adelina adventures ;)

Oh yeah I totally plan on sealing the lid next time. I have had holes all in the top and some in the sides since I started to use it, but she hasn't been "tall" enough until today to reach the top. It is nice to know she is growing and thriving though...even if she scared me!

I's so tired lol, went camping last night and didn't get any sleep.

lol. i saw a turkey that was TALLER then my moms car when i was a kid. i was about to get out and confront it and my mom was like "OMG STAY IN THE CAAAR" xD

for some reason i wanted to get out and see the gigantic thing.
nowadays when i tell people they don't believe me lol. thing was GIGANTOR.

now that i think about it though, i always do stuff like that.

i was at the zoo in thailand with my dad when i was like 17 or something, and i happened to see a random snake just sitting outside some enclosure. i pointed it out to my dad and i saw that its head was facing a corner so it clearly couldnt see behind it, and i reached out and poked its tail and pulled my hand back and it WHIPPED AROUND like WTF!

my dad was shocked but i thought it was pretty funny O.O
