:') So shiro is my first snake as a few of you know and recently (last 2-3 sheds) have been really bad; coming off in peices and having to butt in and gviing him/her a helping hand. But yesterday considering how bad the rest were this one a almost perfect:

I read online, (if i think it was even on this forum) that if you used a water mist spray bottle in the viv this could help! It sure did =]

I tried to take a video of what made me love shiro even more! but last night, as he/she was sat under the cardboard tube looking at me, i put my finger up to the viv and shiro didnt react uber shy and poke his/her head back but decided to follow my figer around the viv for about 20 minutes :') i dont know if this was normal or probably thought my finger was lunch (although i fed, him/her in the day couple hours before) but really made my day (considering how crappy it was) Typically i tired to video him/her doing this, but didnt do it a second time round XD.

FYI- shiro may have a name change to Raa, XD i've just noticed on the side of shiro's body a pattern that looked to be a R and two A's =] gonna wait to see if these become more definite as he/she grows but ve noticed it for a while :O

thats good news he shed complete for you its a sign that your husbandry is correct

i've had new snakes take until their 2nd or 3rd shed with me to shed complete in one piece.i put it down to the stress of travel and settling into their new enviroment.there have been a few that did not travel far to get to mine so i put their bad sheds down to problems with their previous owners husbandry

you will have piece of mind knowing that all is well with you wee guy and his viv

cheers shaun

i bought a jungle complete with faunarium and i found all sorts in the substrate when he arrived it was full of mouse skelletons old pieces of shed etc i put his bad sheds down to previous poor husbandry and his 3rd shed with me and every other was perfect

my 2 irians took 5 days to go from holland to ...germany to...england to ...scotland they retained just about their whole first shed with me and i had to carefully peel them without damaging the scales.their 2nd shed with me they retained 3 or 4 inches of tail shed.the 3rd was 100% perfect and they should shed for a fourth time soon

my 2 diamond males come from germany to...england to...scotland over a 3 day period 1 male shed perfect but the other retained 2 to 3 inches on its back which i got off for it

so based my conclusions on that and a few other travelling experiences

your wee guy should be ok from now on since your taking good care of him

cheers shaun
