I saw the silliest thing yesterday night, late. I've switched from a heating lamp to under-tank heat, and as a result, Celli's been out a lot more. Yesterday, every time I went into my room, he was out and about.
Once, though, he had decided he wanted OUT out, and had used some scenery to boost himself up, and had wedged himself in the slot for the lid (I use a sliding top that locks). The poor guy was stuck there for I don't know how long lol...when I found him I opened the viv and he fell and got all spooked. Ran into his hide and started rattling at me lol
I just hope this doesn't become a regular thing...don't want him hurting himself :/

Good luck with that, some snakes give up, while others will never stop trying.
I have a few that are always up in the top trying to find a way out, it's almost common to look over and see a tail hanging down from the top cover on a couple of my cages.

my albino corn did this all the time, always hid up in the tank/lid crevis thing lol. luckily she got too fat and cant fit up there now... i wouldnt worry much, she fell quite a few times and never got hurt.

MY retic, at least once every day will try to get through the gap between the glass sliding doors of his viv - had him about 8 months and still does the same thing every day.

Hahaha ok, glad to know mine isn't the only derpy would-be escape artist...I just hope he doesn't end up as persistent as Doc, Rob lol.

Well, I went up there and he promptly flopped down from the same spot, so I think he's gonna be of the persistent persuasion lol

There is a good side to all this, he will be active!
I know a few owners who wished their snakes were more active and cant really do much about it.

Yeah, his activity has actually stepped up a LOT in the past week...I think it's because I made the switch to completely dark heat and covered the back and sides of his enclosure; I don't think he felt as secure under the bright light. He also refused food last week (took again Sunday), so I think he might've been hunting as well.
