That's going to be a nice corn snake. The pattern is nice and even. And the head blotch is very symetrical.

Also you got the nice fused line behind the jaw on both sides. That always looks nice on the snake when it gets bigger.
I always found corn snakes to be especially dopey about catching anything live without getting bitten by it so I'd definitely avoid anything live, ever. More so than with a lot of other snakes. Rats FTW. Grows the snake faster. I've always assumed it was because the skeleton is so much heavier the snake is eating more calcium so it can grow its own skeleton faster.

There is no need to feed corns rats, they do perfectly well on mice and them "growing quicker" imo isnt necessarily a good thing, tantamount to power feeding?

As long as something's grown with the correct nutrients, eats of its own accord, and there are no artificial hormones or any other kind of enhancement involved, I'd say it was the opposite.
I used to raise fish and they usually grew a lot faster for me than other people because I fed them a really calculated diet with lots of vitamins.
I think if you'd gone back to 1982 and told people you 'juiced' crickets for a lizard with vitamin and calcium powder they'd probably think that was bad. One thing I noticed for sure when I used to have snakes is that the same size of rat vs mouse makes the snake always grow faster.
