Arguably the king of colubrids

This is Jack, my D. couperi. He's more like a dog than a snake, almost
fun to be around.

Thanks for looking,
Ed

Holy mother of god, these guys are expensive!
I can't believe a native US species is so expensive!

Natsamjosh, may I ask how much you paid for yours and at what age you bought yours?

I want one... which is bad! I can't really afford any more herps in my 1 bedroom apartment! haha

Thanks all. Yeah, these guys are fairly expensive. I paid about a grand for Jack when he was a baby. Since I only keep a few snakes, I can spend a little more money per snake. The downside is I only have a few snakes. :(

The only negative with indigos/cribos is that they are extremely messy. They crap often, and it's not pretty, it's like atomic waste. If you can cope with that, though, they are absolutely incredible. No fear of humans at all, almost friendly. I've never trusted a snake 100% to not bite, but with him I do. (Well, other than feeding time when he goes crazy.)

Thanks for the kind words,
Ed
