Dart Frog Enclosure

Hey everyone,
I'm very interested in Dendrobates Tinctorius, and was wondering what you would reccomend as a set up for a small colony, also any links would be very helpful. My main questions are regarding humidity and drainage as they require very high humidity and substrates. Please bare with me as i have no experience with amphibians:p

No problem....i used to have 15 frogs in one 25 gallon tank because they were about 1 in long... but make half like a swampy place with like moss in the water and maybe a couple water plants and rocks in the water. then on the other said make like a pea gravel are with a little hut and some plant so they can climb it works really good

I don't personally suggest keeping any type of frog in that close of qaurters...and most websites and keepers suggest a group of a certain number of females to one male...although I am sure other type of combinations are possible.

personally, after 3 years of keeping poison frogs I kept getting tired of having to re-make my enclosures because of the soild going sour or problems with submerable pumps.

Now all I do is keep the on gravel with pothos, 2 huts, and a water dish. I use a heat pad under neither to warm up the water and get it in circulation. Personally this is the way to go but you have to remember not to have to much water sitting or it will start to grow alge.

Trust me, Tincs are a joke when it comes to care. THe only species you should be worried about are the rarer thumbnails, egg feeders and species that need specific conditions (silverstoni for insense).
