I am attempting to build a PVC climbing frame for my arboreal snakes but have found it impossible to buy corner fittings in the UK - if you imagine a PVC tube cuboid structure each corner needs a three way fitting.

The only place i have found them so far is in the US and in order to get the pieces to the UK shipping is working out at almost twice the cost of parts!!!

Has anyone else in the UK done this? If so where did you get the parts?

Anyone else with any ideas please feel free to contribute!

Pointed this out to my bf. He mentioned galvanized steel connectors which shouldn't be an issue in a high humidity enclosure. Maybe check into railing or fencing distributors over there.

Or, what about someone here buying and shipping them to you?

have u tried hamster piping, its abit expensive but it does a brill job and as some small snakes can slither inside, u can get a great effect if u wanted to lol

Banbury Plastic Fittings (http://www.bpfittings.co.uk/) have some basic fittings, as well they do custom.

Also, he found Scottish Tubes and Fittings (http://www.stfglasgow.co.uk/) which may have what you're looking for.

Id be worried about the toxicity of galvinized pipes.

They frames are for a GTP and a JCP - i would be worried about hamster tubes not supporting the weight when they get older.

Will check out the other suggestions - thanks all!!

Lankyrob, think outside the box. You can make your climbing frame with tees and 90degree elbows.

I know my frame is nothin fancy but thought maybe it could give you an idea on adding support. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I started off with this idea but the cost of parts is crazy for the size of frame i am building - exch frame came out at over £90 for parts.

If i can get the connectors i need then both frames will be complete for less than £40 total.

I was looking for 1.5inch connectors but a visit to the reptile shop found me coming home with some wooden pieces and he now has a natural looking enclosure that he is chilling out in, will get some pics tomorrow but didnt want to disturb him anymkre than i already have today. Jcp is also gonna have wooden climbing branches instaed of the pvc.
